Being mindful

Be mindful of what the day brings. Beware of the day of the week and what needs to be done on that day. Directing your attention to one thing at a time helps you be aware and to let go of distracting thoughts letting you focus on the current situation in front of you.

Keep a journal

Writing down your thoughts when you first wake up will alleviate your mind of bottled thoughts taking up space. Take this early time in the morning to make list of tasks you need to complete for the day. Or write down dreams and ideas that you don’t want to forget so you can review them later.

Play soothing music

Playing relaxing music sets the tone for your mood. Playing calming tunes will help you relax and think clearly. Listening to calming music also reduces stress and nervousness.

Keep your area clean

Before you leave the house for anything always clean your space. Coming home to a clean space keep’s you calm and brings happiness knowing that you don’t have extra work once you get home from work.

Wake up 30 mins early and walk around the block or park when you first wake up. Early walks in the morning make for creative thinking and promote better moods.

Have a daily routine

A daily routine in place is number one for having a clear mindset. With a planned schedule you are bullet proof for no surprises. Browse through beautiful planners to see which one works best for you and your schedule.

Know your priorities

When planning your days in your planner be sure to schedule your important task at the top of the list. Get the important task out the way to minimize risk of not getting it done because you were doing something less important.

Plan the night before

Don’t plan the day of, do it the night before. When you plan the day of chances are you’ll forget half the things you needed to get done. When you plan the day before (and this works with anything) you have more time to sit and think about what needs to be done first and why.

Final Thoughts

Each day we live is always unexpected than the last. But it’s your life, and it’s your right to live in control without battling anxiety day in and day out. Apply the skills you’ve learned to how to wake up with a clear mindset and you will find peace with daily task. A planner doesn’t have to be the enemy instead just a reminder of what needs to get done so that you don’t fall behind, feel over worked, or stressed out. On more ways to minimize stress read here.
