There are many ways to recruit writers, but you want to do it right and make sure you’re recruiting quality candidates. Meaning, asking the right questions and providing prospects with a clear understanding of their job title. You want no one to be misinformed and encourage your team to always ask questions when unsure.

A few pros to recruiting a writer are, having someone help you with tedious articles while you work on other major aspects of your business. Spend less time drafting articles and find pictures to match by bringing on a team of writers to help you produce quality work staying organized. Cons, to having a team of writers are making sure the work provided for you is valuable, not stolen and needs minor edits. Staying on top of a team with different personalities will be challenging. Be sure to ask necessary questions during the interview process so you know they are a great fit for the team.

What to pay your writers

More experienced writers will ask higher pricing, and a less experienced writer will do it for the bare minimum. But will it be a good job? You get what you pay for. Chances of you finding flawless work to be done at a low-price won’t be possible. Putting the money in now for a good writer will save you money down the line. Average hourly rate for freelance writing nationwide is $30 per hour. Make payments easy for your writers and yourself, by paying them online through apps like Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, and PayPal. 

Do I need an NDA? 

An NDA stands for “Non-Disclosure Agreement”. The purpose of an NDA is to legally bind a contract that states that the business relationship is confidential. The person or persons signing the agreement understand the sensitive information being shared throughout the agreement will not be made available to anyone else outside the contract. An NDA is referred to as confidentiality agreement. So yes, you need one. You can either write your own or pay someone on Fiverr to create one for you.
